The Tomato of Naples

Ciao Tomatoes are collected and processed to exacting standards, so that they can guarantee that every can is full of the best fresh tomatoes available. Ciao believes in ensuring the integrity of the fruit, so their tomatoes are GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) free and Global G.A.P. certified. Ciao tomatoes are packed in BPA-free, white enamel-lined cans to protect the fresh-from-the-vine taste. Ciao products contain higher solids and less water and salt (versus competing brands). They are packed in a thick juice/puree that is made exclusively from fresh tomatoes. It guarantees the perfect viscosity for any tomato-based sauce.

Compagnia Mercantile d’Oltremare was founded in 1979 by Lino Cutolo and his brothers, Remo, and Franco. Their factory is located in the foothills of Mt. Vesuvius, the same Italian region as San Marzano tomatoes and the Amalfi coast. Their products are handled with the utmost care, and Ciao tomatoes are no exception. Our tomatoes undergo multiple rounds of careful selection and sorting. This process begins in the fields, which ensures only the best tomatoes are processed and canned.

Bursting with Antioxidants

Ciao tomatoes are grown in rich fertile soil that makes for delicious tomatoes that have become known as “the fruit of the sun.” The sun increases the concentration of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant naturally found in tomatoes.
